A fresh and hard-hitting new reality-based series is about to hit the airwaves. It’s called Local Pool. It shows how hard it is being a male teen lifeguard at a local swimming facility.

[8:30 am, and the morning meeting is underway led by Pool Manager, Josh Braskett]

Josh: Alright everybody, it’s gonna be a scorcher out there today. Make sure that you stay hydrated and that you use plenty of sunscreen. You guys especially, since your shirts are always off.
[Amber, the ditsy but somewhat attractive desk clerk raises her hand giggling.]
Amber: I’ll be sure to make my rounds to see if any of you guys need sunscreen on your backs.
[Amber giggles as all the male lifeguards grin and lean back in their chairs, shake the hair from their eyes and deliver high-fives to one another.]

[9:00 am, and all the teenage male lifeguards are in their chairs wearing Oakleys. Mike has an unusually high volume of toddlers at his waterslide. Amber is walking by trying to make eye contact.]

Mike: Hey Amber, can you get my back?
[Mike gestures to his back whilst flexing his bicep. Amber giggles, climbs the chair and shirks her desk clerk responsibilities.]
Mike: This day is so lame. I need a Red Bull!
[Tangles of small children slip down the slide as Mike scans the horizon for girls and a chance at a long range high-five from his buddy Ryan. Ryan makes Oakley contact and gestures a sweet fist bump. Mike smiles and responds accordingly.]
Ryan: Man, it is only 9:05. I can’t wait ’til after work so I can drive through town with my shirt off.
[Ryan leans back in his chair scanning for girls whilst crossing his arms, displaying both his attitude and his biceps. He shoots a quick head flick acknowledgment to Dustin, the lifeguard who can do a flip off the diving board during swim break, when all the kids can't swim but instead have to watch the lifeguards show off.]
Dustin: If I can’t kiss my girlfriend today, I will go crazy!
[Dustin, in charge of the diving pool, pounds a Monster Energy Drink while a kid dives into the pool, not having waited for the previous jumper to get to the ladder. Amber arrives. Dustin makes Oakley contact with her as he throws his arms behind his head as if he is sitting up and resting his head.]
Dustin: Hey Amber. Can you get me another Monster from the snack bar?
[Amber, hardly able to contain herself from giggling, somehow communicates that the snack bar only carries Red Bull.]
Dustin: Whatever. Get me one of those.
[Amber falls on the ground giggling as she drags herself away to get Dustin a Red Bull. All the male lifeguards flex their biceps in unison and then stand in their chairs whilst blowing their whistles, signaling time to get out of the pool.]
Mike: [Climbing down from his chair.] I am so gonna get 3 girlfriends today!

Fade to black and roll credits
