Under the Bed
Two monsters are hiding under little Billy Johnson’s bed, waiting for their chance to strike. They have yet to be successful, but feel that tonight is the night.

Red-eyed Monster: Tonight, we shall finally feast on little Billy.
Big-toothed Monster: Indeed. We shall start with his ankles, since they will be dangling over the bed any second now.
Red-eye: Yes. If we miss that chance, we can always grab his hand when it dangles over the side as he sleeps.
Big-tooth: I can’t believe it. Tonight is the night.
(Little Billy runs into his room, but leaps into his bed.)
Red-eye: No! He jumped!
Big-tooth: How does he know?
Red-eye: Don’t worry, any second now…wait. What is he doing? Oh no!
Big-tooth: This kid is just toying with us.
Red-eye: Who told him that there is nothing that can penetrate his blanket? Who leaked this? Was it you?
Big-tooth: No, it wasn’t me! Was it you?
Red-eye: (Slaps Big-tooth in face.) Get hold of yourself! Look at him. He’s pulled it clear up to his neck. We can do nothing. He is safe.
Big-tooth: Dangit!
Red-eye: Dangit indeed.
